Intensive Russian Attacks Eliminate Power Across Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have faced increased strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water supplies, as stated by municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a young boy was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, according to area administrators.

Moscow has increased strikes on energy facilities over recent weeks, while officials has called for "real steps" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the US, European nations and the Group of Seven - in delivering air defence systems and applying sanctions," was stated in a online statement.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 rockets attacked energy facilities, labeling such strikes as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the assaults on the city have been taken to hospital, per statements from local officials.

Regional authorities said the urban area came under significant strikes throughout the evening. A young boy was killed and multiple civilians were injured.

The assaults come after evenings of bombing campaigns in the region, parts of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to spot.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to destroy the national power system, with strikes already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and authorities were anticipating further attacks.
